I was born May 4th, 1990, and my dad got me into disc golf not much later around 1996. I’m an Army brat, so my family moved around the country while I was growing up, but we settled in Blacksburg, VA which still feels like home. I’ve been on tour since 2016, with my biggest accomplishments including the 2019 USDGC title and 2 DGPT victories. I plan to stay involved in disc golf my whole life and feel incredibly lucky to be making a living competing and sharing in the sport I love.

I’m sure you’ve heard by now, but I’ve made the leap to Team MVP for the next 10 years – I still can’t believe it! I’m just beginning my GYRO journey, and I’d love for you all to follow along. I’ll be posting all about it on my YouTube and Instagram, so make sure you’re subscribed or following to keep up to date with everything. We have a lot of fun plans in the works that I can’t wait to share with you all – 2023 is going to be an amazing year for myself and, I hope, for you all as well!
My bag is going to be constantly changing during the beginning of the season, so my YouTube is the best bet if you’re looking for what I’m currently throwing. Here’s what I’m starting off throwing at least! I know I can say this, the Hex is an amazing disc

I started playing Disc Golf in the summer of 2001. I was 17 years old and had never heard of disc golf until one of my best friends (who was about to leave for the Army) bought a disc with a gift card he had won in our Youth Group at church. We played Lenora Park on a windy day and I used a flimsy little Frisbee. I didn’t like it but my buddy bought another disc and gave me his 1st one before he left. I’ve been hooked ever since.
On October 17, 2004 we had a Sunday off from practice and heard that the US Disc Golf Championship was happening 2 hours away and we could go watch Ken Climo play! There weren’t disc golf videos on YouTube so we had never seen him or any of the great players throw. But we all had discs with his name on them. It truly was a Life Changing moment for me. It was like going to my first Braves/Falcons game and getting to stand on the field and watch it. There weren’t spectator ropes like there are today, so we literally walked right behind Climo, Michael Johansen, and I think it was Ron Convers in that hat!
I asked around that day to see how a person could qualify for that. I was told to join the PDGA and that once I was good enough, I could play in a qualifying event. I joined a few months later and started playing in the Open Division before I had a rating. I floated to the Advanced AM division a couple times but mostly just took my lumps in Open. I cashed in 4 out of 13 Open Events. The next year I cashed in over half of them.

I began playing disc golf with friends in 2007 and fell in love immediately. I enjoyed the daily exercise, company of good friends and stress relief from my teaching career. Shortly after competing in a few local tournaments, I found the drive to see how I would fare against the best. I turned pro in 2008 and traveled as much as possible for the next few years until I felt confident enough to fully commit to disc golf. I quit teaching in 2010 to tour full time and have been on the road ever since.
I started winning bigger events in 2011, with King of Lake in Tahoe, CA being my first NT win and was fortunate enough to win a world title in 2012 in Charlotte, NC. Since then, I’ve added two additional major titles, the United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships in 2013 and 2016, as well as recent notable wins at the San Francisco Open, MVP Open, Delaware Disc Golf Challenge, and the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championships. Check out my full playing history at www.pdga.com.
Competing to the best of my ability is my primary focus, but it is important to me to give back to this amazing community of disc golfers that have given me so much. Currently, I volunteer for the PDGA Women’s committee with a commitment to ensure we attract and retain more female players, as well as improve the quality of the disc golf experience for all women. Additionally, I spend time writing and teaching clinics to assist with and inspire growth in all disc golfers.
The camaraderie and challenge in this sport is ever-present. I am blessed to have found disc golf and know this sport has something to offer everyone. I truly believe this sport changes people for the better, so my goals are to expose the world to disc golf, and ultimately, make this world a better place by doing so.

I started playing Ultimate Frisbee in high school. I was always obsessed with throwing frisbees, even doing my high school Physics project on the physics of disc flight. In college, I played on a men’s Ultimate Frisbee team, but my lack of speed and vertical kept me from being an effective cutter against male defenders. I started handling, and my teammates quickly noticed that I put a little too much heat on the disc when passing. They suggested I check out disc golf, and as someone who loves walking around in the woods, it was a match made in heaven.
In 2013, I was laid off from my job as an onsite biologist with the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response in my hometown, Pensacola, Florida and planned to go back to school to get my Masters. On Thanksgiving, I found myself on the course with my siblings and parents when I was approached by someone from the local club, absolutely HYPED to see women out playing. A member from the local club invited me to the bag tag league and next thing you know, I was taking off from work to play tournaments, and suddenly out-earning my job!
I started my first full-time tour in 2015 riding along with Paige Pierce, and managed my first solo tour in 2018. There have been a lot of hiccups, learning experiences, low points, and the highest of high points, like hanging from a highline 3,500ft above the Yosemite Valley on the ancient stone walls of Taft Point with people I had met 30 minutes before. In a beautiful turn of events, disc golf has brought me full circle, paving the way for my job with the DGPT as the Environmental and Special Initiatives Coordinator, bridging my passions of science and frisbees.
I take partnerships very seriously, and I only choose brands that make me feel good about what I’m representing. I am so excited to begin my partnership with MVP! It’s like making a new friend that you feel like you’ve known forever.

I first started playing disc golf in 2004 and like many others my first time was with a couple friends who invited me out to play. Where my experience differs from most is that those friends were women. Fast forward some 10+ years and I am now the Director of my area’s local women’s league and Co-Director of the Michigan Women’s Disc Golf Series.
For the first couple years I played very casually. I was intrigued when I first heard about tournaments. I played a few unsanctioned local events to begin with and then my first PDGA sanctioned event in 2010. In 2013 I placed 6th at Am Worlds in Emporia. I told myself going into that event if I placed well I would move up. So I took the plunge into FPO in 2014. Michigan has some amazing FPO players and my first year I got stomped all year long. I learned more that year than any year before. I appreciate that time as it made me get my head game in check and it taught me how to laugh off the bad shots.
Off the disc golf course I’m a Project Manager for a Construction Management firm. My career keeps me in the Midwest region. I will typically pick one or two bigger events to play but otherwise I compete regionally. If I head to a bigger event I am usually spending my evenings working.

I was born in San Francisco California area then relocated to Austin Minnesota when I was in First Grade. AKA SPAM TOWN USA! I grew up playing Baseball, Football and Basketball. Three sports that I love playing when im not on the disc golf course. One of my best friends showed me to this amazing sport. On that day, I witnessed a Ace and have been hooked since. Now I get to travel around the country playing Disc Golf as a Job and meeting so many people.

MVP strives to make discs for any level of play so regardless if you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran, I’m confident we have something that will work for you and improve your game.
I can honestly say that switching to MVP has changed my game and my life. Happy discing!

I grew up in a disc golf family. My dad is a great disc golf player and my older brother Anthony Hauf is currently sponsored by MVP. I started going to play with my dad and brother when I was almost 4 years old. By the time I was 6 I began to play doubles in our local club (wncdga).
By the time I made it to high school I could throw 350 on a FH and 300 on a backhand. I realized I wanted to start playing tournaments and I got a pdga number and played with my older brother and friends. I eventually pushed myself to be better than the average player. Now I throw a forehand 400 and some change and I can putt from a long distance.
Disc golf has changed my life and now I’m taking it with me as I go through college. I play on the NC State Wolfpack team and love it dearly. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration and I can’t wait to see what next year will bring with my MVP sponsorship!

In October 2009, Matt Bell played his first round of disc golf at DeLaveaga in Santa Cruz, CA. Along with surfing, disc golf quickly became his other daily obsession. After volunteering for the 2011 world championships he found the tournament scene. With the guidance of the local club members, he applied for a PDGA membership signing up for the Master’s Cup in May 2011 as an Amateur.
After carding an 8 on his second hole of the tournament he made a 45-footer on the last to secure his first and only Win as an Amateur. In Half, a season playing Advanced Matt placed 2nd at the state championships only to win the Motherload “NorCal Title” the following weekend. When the next rating update came out he went from 950 to 986. The following day he called the Tournament Director to move him to Open for the next event(Frying Pan in Stockton, CA). After carding an incredible tournament Ace he tied for 1st place in Open. From there he would move back to his hometown to help build what would be his training grounds “Silva Acres” in Nevada City, CA.

Oakley began his touring career as a member of Discmania’s team and participated in the legendary Starter Pack Challenge, an all-time great piece of disc golf media. Since then, he has become a fan favorite, known for his snug pants, powerful sidearm, and JomezPro drone flight antics.
“I make it because I hustle hard in the media department …”
“I promote discs, and I sell discs. I’m an avid promoter of my discs and the gear I use as a professional disc golfer.”
“For me, my sponsors are happy when I play well at a tournament, but it’s a bonus. Regardless of my performance, they know they’re getting value from me. Whether I finish 80th or 14th, both in-person or online, the value is there on the backend as a positive promoter of their gear.”
“Getting to this point has been a lot of hard work. I’m grateful for the players who did this before me and who kind of paved the way for a guy like myself. And even the guys I play with, too.”
“When Simon Lizotte and Eagle McMahon put me on their vlogs, it helps me grow my brand and increase my relevancy in the sport. Early on, Dynamic Discs helped a ton with that.”
“But now, working with Infinite Discs, Thought Space Athletics, and Upper Park Disc Golf, I’ve been able to take things to new heights. Here in the not-so-distant future, there will be more unique partnerships – I’m excited for them.”
